Cheeky Finn

Dear Finn,

When creating Ben's nursery, this is not exactly what we had in mind.

Westminster Dog Show

Billy and I are serious dog lovers. If we could, we’d buy an enormous property and just have dogs everywhere. For now, we have one highly needy Golden who's more than enough, but you should see us gush over dogs when we see them in the neighbourhood. Obsessed.

Last night we caught a bit of the Westminster Dog Show…SO good. I want to go buy 4 to 5 dogs this weekend. We missed a good chunk of it, but I found this amazing slide show and was able to pick some of our favs.

Finn is famous!

One of my favourite home blogs, Desire to Inspire, runs a weekly post called 'Pets on Furniture'. Well, how could I NOT send in a picture of baby Finn? And as it happens, he made the cut!!

Finn is famous!

Little Finn has made himself right at home

At first, the new kitten was a little nervous about Cohen. That lasted about 5 minutes.

Now, he runs after her, jumps around her, and isn’t the least bit concerned.

For the most part, he spends his time playing with Arthur and Co. But he also spends a lot of time sleeping. Really, really sleeping.

The story of the nameless kitten

Last night we picked up a new little kitten. The most adorable little kitten in the world (except for Artie and Lola).

The plan has always been to get Artie a new little friend, since he adored Lola and has not been the same ever since. But, we had to wait a good amount of time, allow Cohen to become slightly less insane, and be sure we were in our new home. (For future reference, the plan is still to get a second pup as well, but that it on hold for now... I digress).

Well, it all started out perfectly. The search started for a long haired, black and white female kitten. And we found her, just like that! She had tiny little white feet, the most adorable face, and hair just like Artie’s was when he was little. So, we called, and the seller put her aside for us. Voila, done and done.

We spent days going through names, narrowed it down to three, then to two, then to one, which we called her constantly in the first few hours she was home. Things were going great, and it seemed obvious that Artie was thrilled with his new little girlfriend. They were in love.

And then, we discovered, she was a boy.

I hear that this may be why they are actually getting on so quickly. Apparently boy cats are very easy going and snuggly with one another. Unless, that is, both are unfixed and there’s a female in the area.

As of now, I’m still not 100% confident in what he/she is, and so he/she remains nameless until tomorrow when the vet can tell us for sure. After all, they all look the same to me!

But by tomorrow, we should have a name for out little kitten, one way or the other.

Hope everyone can come see him (or her) soon! And please don’t make too much fun of him (or her) for this, he or she will likely be forever confused…

The days are shorter already

I'm having less and less time in the evenings to take Co out for walks while it's still light out. It's getting so chilly. Sweaters are imperative. I'm beginning to wonder where my mitts are hiding.

As much as we love fall, I already miss the sun...

Etsy

Does anyone know about Etsy? Maybe it's old news. Well, it's a website where people who are extra crafty sell their products, and you'd be amazed at the stuff you can find! Most recently I bought a new ID tag for Cohen, how cute is it??

Co's New Tag

This was made by seller Making Your Dog Smile and they have some amazing dog tags available. And yes, styles of dog tags really are very important to me!

A while back I also bought a beautiful pillow from Etsy as well:

Paris Pillow

This was created by the seller Sa-Sea Boutique, and it's even more cool looking in person.

So, just thought I'd share. Etsy is awesome.

Missing baby Co

Sometimes it seems she hasn't changed a bit. And then I look back and old pictures.

Our Photos (60)

Maybe we really should go with Billy's idea. Adopt a pack of baby Goldens.

Off to the vet!

Today our little guys are off to the vet for a check up. We're trying a new place this time around, and we're hoping they are better than the last place poor Cohen was going to. It's a long story, but basically they wanted to put drops in her eye and two people tackled her to the ground to do so. Little do they know, if you just ask her nicely, she will sit, tilt her head up, and just let you. I could have killed them. But, instead, I let them know we would never, ever be back, and that they should be ashamed of themselves. You know, hit em where it hurts. I'm sure they couldn't have cared less.

Anyway, this place gets great reviews, and they were able to book us in the day after we called. So far so good!
