Style at Home May 2012 - An amazing interior by designer Lara McGraw

The other day I got my SAH May issue and fell completely in love with this home tour. Designed by Lara McGraw, it's absolutely stunning. I wonder if Lara would be willing to work for a stack of free paintings and maybe some cupcakes? Hmm.

Style At Home - October

Has anyone seen this kitchen featured in the October issue of SAH yet? SO cute. I love the cows! And I'm not usually a fan of the colour green when it comes to interiors (I don't know why, just hate it) but this is a really nice green. I fully approve.








Oh, what I would give to be able to buy houses at a whim and make them amazing. So.  Many. Ideas.

Cottage love - Tour of an amazing cottage on House & Home

It's a big, big dream of mine to have a cottage one day. I have only really been to a couple of cottages in my life, but the atmosphere of being at the cottage is one of my most vivid memories. The fresh air, the freezing water, the camp fires. Sigh.


When the day comes that I win the lottery (the lottery I never play because I never remember to), it will be the first thing I buy. I will even settle to just find one to rent every summer if I have to. One day!


In this month's issue of House and Home, I found what is now my absolute favourite spread of ALL. It's the cottage of my dreams. I may have to frame these pages.


Sadly my subscription to H&H doesn't include the digital copy, but I took a few pictures to share if you're willing to ignore the terrible quality!

Missing Domino Magazine

Every now and then I pull out my stack of Domino mags and take a look through what was once my favourite shelter mag. Today is one of those days.





I remember when it closed it's doors, I was certain that the public outcry would leave them with no choice but to come back. No such luck. We are left with an array of amazing online magazines to chose from luckily (Lonny, Rue, Matchbook to name just a few)...but I still get all nastalgic looking at these.


Come back Domino! We miss you!


(I also really miss Wish and Blueprint. Just saying.)
