It's SO fall-like these days, I'm loving the cooler nights! I've been so in the mood for tea and throw blankets and slippers, I thought I would put together a little list of things that are fallish.

• I forgot how good these chocolate chip pumpkin squares are during this time of year...I've already baked two batches.
• Speaking of food, it's time to bring back the baked yummy casseroles. I can't wait to try this Butternut Squash Gnocchi.

It's Friday, and a long weekend to boot, yay! Does anyone have any fun long weekend plans? These days we don't really get long weekends, Billy's work is VERY busy and he works most holidays, but we still get our Saturday and Sunday with him! Can't wait!

Here are a few things that have caught my eye around the web these days...enjoy!

• Are you applying to get in to Jen's book? I AM! Fingers crossed!!! (The deadline is Sept. 15th, eeek!)
• Domino is releasing another special issue next week! YES!
• Have you been reading this 'In My Diaper Bag' series? So good. In MY diaper bag there is a sticky bib and a pile of crumbled receipts, but these are pretty awesome too.
• The 50 best apps for kids.
• Sautéed pork chops with apples and peaches? Um, yes please.
• I'm seriously tempted to go to Bookstravaganza. Anyone going?
• Now that it's pretty much fall, I'm totally thinking about layers and scarves. This cowl scarf DIY that I spotted on Pinterest is definitely on my to-do list.

I haven't done one of these in so long. This is why I can never commit to the 'every Friday' kind of thing (committing to the Five Questions is even pushing it, I know, I'm the worst).

But I have some fun things I've spotted lately that I wanted to share. Oh internet, you never cease to fill my head with things I need to do/buy/pin.

• Speaking of Rach, she wrote a very cute post on the Art Crawl. Thanks friend!!
• We made this Spaghetti in Garlic Sauce with Herbs and Lemon Marinated Chicken and Cherry Tomatoes and it was SO GOOD. Next time, I'm going to add more tomatoes, grilled zucchini and peppers...mmm.
• Ten places to get inspired.
• Have you tried a Beauty Balm yet? I have tried a few (hello product junkie) and I LOVE this one.
• A little peek at Martha Stewart's Pastry kitchen (also known as organizational bliss)
• I'm working on a home spa DIY which I'll probably share next week (since the DIY face mask was so popular) but in the mean time, here's a pretty cool looking hair mask, going to give this a try!
• Nine foods for better skin.
• Currently reading Beach Strip...so far it's really great! Anyone reading anything good these days?
• I'm currently planning a little (as in very little) makeover for Ben's room. I'm have been so inspired by this room (I have followed Deborah on Instagram for a while now, love her!)

I did make myself an Etsy one FYI....I used the capital 'E' in Times New Roman, probably not an exact match but it works!

So it's Friday, and not just ANY Friday, but it's the Friday before a long weekend. YES! What's everyone up to?

Billy is not working this weekend (yayyyy) so I'm hoping we can spend a little time outside with Ben. Fingers crossed for good weather!

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had an amazing week. As I mentioned, I'll be busy this weekend working away on prep stuff for Ben's first birthday, but I leave you with a few fun things to check out.

Friday isn't quite the same for me these days...Billy was recently transferred from one location of his company to another, and he is now working continental shifts (meaning, all weekend, every other weekend....it's awful) so my weekend isn't really beginning until Monday. But, either way, I hope you all enjoy your weekend! Looks like we will have some great weather, so I hope to take Benjamin out a lot and maybe do a little more work in our garden :)

• Kate mentioned this cold-brew coffee recipe the other day, and I tried it. OH MAN.  I'm hooked.
• Speaking of Kate, did you see her new Tumblr "Pinners Be Crazy''? She decided to end it (and I totally admire her honesty and respect her decision), but it was the funniest thing ever. I read through the posts and was crying with laughter. This post in particular got me (beware crazy pinners, there is a bad word on the photo, don't hate me for thinking it's hilarious).
• Can't wait to give this pretty photoshop effect tutorial a try.
• Are you going to Blog Podium? If so, you know it's time to work on our bios...yay! Sort of feels like homework. Love it.
• The most perfect, modern nursery. Might be reason enough to hurry up on baby number two...kidding! Sort of.

• Did you see Erin's closet makeover? Oh man. So cool.
• If you're in the Hamilton area, there is a cool thing going on at Hamilton Artist Inc. called Art Grab. I donated a piece to this, thought it looked like a fun event!
• Only a few weeks away until my little man turns one, and I'm in full on planning mode for his shindig. Lucky for me, Elsie just shared with us some frosting recipes. Hooray!
• If you're looking for a funny new sitcom to check out, Bent is really hilarious. Usually shows like this don't get enough of a following and end up being cancelled, but we're going to enjoy it while it lasts. I need something to make me laugh while I desperately wait for Larry David to return.
• They NEED to open a J. Crew in my city. I would buy this dress right now. And these shoes. And probably this.

Happy Friday everyone! YAY!

So happy the long weekend is here. I miss Billy a lot during the week, it's so nice having him home in the day and seeing him play with Benjamin. They are adorable together....adorable.

Anyway, here are a few things to check out over your weekend.

• Want to look like Clemence Poesy? Ya, me too. Lisa Eldridge has done a great video tutorial on getting her look.
• Just ordered myself a copy of Bringing Up Bebe as recommended by Joanna. So excited to read, since we all know the French do everything better than we do.
• I have been listening to this Bon Iver cd on repeat. Especially this song.
• Ana has shared yet another amazing baby meal plan. I might as well make her blog my homepage.
• How cute are these air mail note cards? Love them.
• My friend Corinne just had a baby, and she's having trouble getting him into a sleep routine. I'm STILL struggling with this, and I found this amazing article today. So helpful, especially if you're not into the cry-it-out method like me. My baby is crying, I go to him. Sorry if you don't get that.

A&B Love, Christmas Edition

It's the last week before Christmas...how is that possible? Over the weekend we hosted our annual Christmas party with our closest friends and family, so much fun. No...no pictures until people send me the ones they took (it's crazy enough hosting this thing, and add a little one to the mix there isn't a free second for ppicture-taking, boo). 

I'm wrapping things up this week, and probably going to stay off the computer for a little while...every time I open this laptop I feel like I have to read every blog I normally do, and then post something...and next thing you know two hours are gone. So, I will leave you with a little list of things I'm looking at right now and a few things on my to-do list:

• We're hosting Christmas brunch and dinner at our house with both families together this year (SO excitede) and I fully intend on using this list of ideas for getting your home ready in 30 minutes or less
• Did you watch the Christmas SNL with Jimmy Fallon over the weekend? We missed it of course but caught up yesterday....best SNL ever.
• Wrapping presents is big on my list this week...no, they won't look anything like Martha's, but I will still look through these for inspiration while I drink hot chocolate.
• This time of year always makes me think back to that Christmas morning when Billy popped the question. Tear!!
• Although I failed to take pics this year at our Xmas bash...that wasn't a;ways the case. A little flashback to one of my favourite years, 2008.
• Naomi mentioned writing letters to Elanor a while ago, and it inspired me. This year I'm going to write a Christmas card just for Ben, and I'll do the same thing each year. One day we can read them all together...hopefully he doesn't think it's too lame.
• Still looking for gift ideas? uide The 2011 Cup of Jo Gift Guide is probably my favourite one of all.
• It's definitely time to watch all of my favourite Christmas movies. This is actually a pretty good list.
• Lastly, unrelated to Christmas, is anyone else really into that song from the new McDonald's commericial? I'm in love.

Ok, here I go to enjoy this last week before we celebrate Ben's very first Christmas! And  There WILL be picture of that, I promise you.
