Hello friends! I wanted to let you know that one week from today I will be showing my art at a local gallery for the very first time! The art district in Hamilton has an Art Crawl once a month, and a little while ago I decided to jump in and show my work. I'm excited, and a little nervous, but I can't wait to see my paintings up in public!
You can see five of my pieces at The Grey Room Design Studio (located above the Mulberry Street Coffee House). I'll be popping in myself for a bit too, but mostly the gallery owner Melissa will be hosting. If you happen to be in the area, try to have a look if you can! Photographer Tasha Devine will also be showing the same night, and I'm very excited to check out her work too!
A little while before Ben's birthday party, it occurred to me that I really, really wanted beautiful pictures of his big day, and that I would have no time at all to take any. This happened at Christmas, we were hosting both families, and there was simply no time at all to capture the day itself. Well, I learned my lesson. I decided to try to find someone who could help us out, and found the most LOVELY photographer in the world, Morgan Binek. Here are a few of the photos she took of Ben's first birthday. Her work speaks for itself.
I contacted several photographers initially, but after just that first reply from Morgan, I knew she was a perfect fit. She was funny and sweet, she had kids herself so she would understand the importance of the first birthday, and she was also SO professional and kind. We had a few emails back and forth that first day, and now I totally consider her one of my new girlfriends. Play dates for our little ones are in the works!
Morgan is an AMAZING photographer. Her images are just stunning, and she really has an eye for her craft.
