Ben's Room - A few changes on the way

I've spent a lot of time in Ben's room over the last year and a bit. A lotttt. And like any other room in this house, it will surely go through many changes over the years. I've been planning some little updates and I'm hoping to get started pretty soon. 

 I'm so, so inspired these days by people like Jennifer of A Merry Mishap and Deborah (who doesn't have a blog yet but I found her on Instagram a while ago thankfully). Their homes are PERFECTION. Like, in my dreams beautiful.

 I've been on a black and white kick in our home for a while now, but this just makes me want to do more. And more. 

 Ben's room is going to go this route with pops of colour in toys and textiles. SO excited to get started. I've already gotten a little bit into it by working on some custom paintings for his room and moving things around a bit to make the room more functional. I've also ordered some fabrics to work on his bedding and some pillows.

 And then I just have to convince Billy that it's not crazy to paint this room white (read - paint the room while he's at work and see if he notices).

    I think that the pale pale blue in his room is so pale as to seem white. It is a much softer color than plain white.

      It's pretty blue looking with all the white furniture against it, ha ha. It's going white...slowly but surely I'll get my all white house!

    Aww thank you Adriane I just seen this! Thank you for your kind words. You will get there slowly its not always easy with little ones about. We rent the flat but my friend has kindly let me paint the floors white and walls white! It has been a slow process but I'm getting there! I love little ones rooms to have a white backdrop, as there toys can inject enough colour right?

      Deborah! I'm so happy you saw this, and thank YOU for being so inspiring! I'm really glad you mentioned that it takes time, I can be so impatient and I need to hear that sometimes, ha ha!

    Just found your blog today! Love this post... I'm in the process of redecorating my sons room as well. Just thought the comment about convincing your husband to let you paint white was hilarious. I've been trying to convince my husband to let me do the same thing for the last 3 months!!!
