My plans /// ADOP etc.

A little while ago I mentioned that I was headed back to work, temporarily, after my mat leave had ended. Well, my temporary stint is over. So, what's going on?

Long story short, things there have changed a lot, and so for now the position that I had before just isn't there. They gave me my full notice, which was great, there were no hard feelings, and in fact, the timing couldn't have been better. I may go back to help out here and there, but for now, I'm officially home with Ben for good. I missed being home with this guy sooooo much.





So, what's the plan? Well, Billy and I have talked about this a lotttt over the past couple of months, and we've decided that we're going to try to make it work - me staying home with Ben, and trying to make something out of ADOP. Like for real. No, I could not support myself on this income, that's way down the road (if it ever comes). But, Billy has a great job, and right now for us it makes the most sense for me to stay home with Ben. And luckily, ADOP is definitely helping to bring a bit of extra money in on the side.

There is a long list of things in my business plan that I have yet to do, so over the next week my focus is going to be goal setting and working on an action plan. 

I also have a secondary project that I want to get moving on. I don't want to share everything on it just yet, but I will just say that I want to separate ADOP from my kids line, and add a few more things. I've always planned on doing this, but I think it's time to get going. Things have been happening over the past few months that have made it all seem like it's meant to be, so I'm going to trust my instincts and go with it. I'm so excited!!!

As far as the blog goes, for now my plan is to keep it as a compliment to my shop. I LOVE writing this blog, and it's not going anywhere, but I don't think I'm going to actively pursue ads just yet. Maybe one day, we'll see.

I want to say that having a business of my own has been my dream forEVER. I have always felt pretty trapped in my work with no time to invest in anything of my own. And none of this would be possible if it weren't for Billy, who is working like crazy, providing for our family, and letting me have this time to both raise our son, and pursue this dream of mine. It's a chance that many people never get, and one that I am so grateful to have. 





Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a little update! I will share more business adventures as things get a little closer to launch. I'm so, so excited to show you guys everything, thanks for listening!
