So it's old news now....but clearly my silence was due to the whole baby thing, ha ha. Just have had a lot on my mind (and been in bed for most of the day). But I'm feeling much better these days, so at long last I can post!
For the first few months, I was sort of over-loaded with nursery ideas. I found about seven million that I like. And so where do I begin? I liked bright colours, and all-white rooms, and minimalistic looks, and murals all over the walls.....SO much, and all very cute. But nothing felt right.
My wonderful friend Corinne sent me a link, and suddenly I felt inspired in a more realistic way, with this picture:
It's not sickeningly cute. There isn't an overload of colour. It's relaxed, and cozy looking. I like it. I like it a lot.
Now true, it's not really a nursery, and I don't plan on actually copying any room anyway....but the 'feel' that I get from this picture is what I'm going for. Warm wood tones, light walls, everything looking comfy and relaxed.
We have our furniture chosen....and a lot of accessories picked out as well. Right now our big focus is paint colour...and the perfect comfy chair. Harder than I thought it would be to find one! One that's NOT the cheesy part-wood kind. Now thanks!
Not old news to me!!! I still get all goose-bumpy thinking about this.
