Where did June go?

Another weekend has passed, jam packed with new house projects as usual. The painting projects are nearly finished now. We saved the best for last, the beloved green room, partly because we didn’t want to bother with it, and partly because, quite frankly, it smells funny. But, the funny smell (which was a smell you would expect to find in a teenage boys bedroom, the type who hides certain activities from his parents not thinking they can smell said activities hours later, but I digress).

Anyways, this weekend we got primer and paint on the ceiling, the trim painted, the closet primed and painted, and the walls cut-in. Now we just have to get the wall colour on, which Billy wil be working on this week since he has a very magical way of only needing one coat to cover ANY colour. He’s proven it several times, so it’s no joke.

We also had Bell install our HD tv this weekend, and boy oh boy was that fun! Apart from the fact that it took two days and Billy came close to getting in a fist fight with one of the guys, we’re now all set and can watch tv on BOTH tvs. Yes, quite a luxury, I know.

This week’s to-do list:

• Hang rods in master bedroom closet

• Hem new curtains (remove cheap Ikea iron-down hems which Cohen likes to chew and don’t work at all)

• Set up blue guestroom (furniture, curtains, etc.)
